I trolled up a new personal best on the Good Samaritan - 43" length, 25" girth, and 30lbs. I was trolling out front of the radar towers on the western edge of the shipping channel in 50 feet of water, right on the bend and up on the ledge.

A new Chesapeake Bay tidal fishing report just came in from Striper Dave. He reports on monster red drum in the Potomac River area, spotty spanish mackerel, breaking blues and stripers, and nice spot and croaker showing up in numbers now.

Striper Dave just submitted this Chesapeake Bay Tidal Fishing report with the highlight being the report of a new pending IGFA 20lb Line Class World Record Cobia caught by Dr. Julie Ball in the lower Chesapeake. It was caught back in mid-June, but we are just getting word. What a great catch!

The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) continue to search for a boater missing from an accident that occurred at 9 p.m. June 29 on the Potomac River, 2 miles west of the Route 301 bridge.

Buzz's Marina posted this great photo of a really nice bluefish caught on June 14, 2010 by one of their regular fisherman. She was uncertain if the fish was caught trolling or chumming. Thanks for sharing the photo Christy!

The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) are investigating a hit and run boating accident that occurred near Thomas Point Light, Chesapeake Bay between Fishing Creek and South River at 2:30 pm on Saturday, June 5.

This croaker fishing report just came in from Christy down at Buzz's Marina. Looks like croaker fishing out of Buzz's is really heating up. This looks to be THE hot spot on the Bay right now in Southern Maryland for the hardhead. Head down to Buzz's Marina and launch right where the fish are!
